I found this beautiful angel statue at Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I just love the sweet expression on her face and the flower carvings on the wings. As a black and white, the light color of the stone really pops between the dark background and the pansies in the foreground. This shot of the War Memorial Cross in Sewanee, Tennessee, was taken at sunset on a fall evening. I love how the deep purple at the top of the sky transitions to the warm yellows and oranges in the lower sky, and I made it a point to pull these rich colors out in the final version of the image.
